Description

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CHSL Exam Date 2023 on 27th April 2023 on the official website. The Commission will hold the SSC CHSL Exam 2023 for Tier I from 02 August 2023 to 22 August 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for the SSC CHSL Examination must meet certain requirements in order to be eligible. The authorities will reject the candidature of any candidate who does not meet the eligibility criteria such as age, minimum educational qualification, and so on. The conducting body determines the eligibility criteria for SSC CHSL. 

The following conditions must be met for a candidate to be eligible for the SSC CHSL Examination:

Nationality:

A candidate must be either :

1. A Citizen of India or
2. A subject of Nepal or
3. A subject of Bhutan or
4. A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India or
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.

Provided, however, that a candidate in categories (2), (3), (4), and (5) above must be someone in whose favor the Government of India has issued a certificate of eligibility.

Note- A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination, but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.


Age Limit & Relaxations:

  • The Minimum age limit is 18 years and the Maximum age is of 27 years.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates applying for SSC CHSL examination must possess the following educational qualifications:-

1. For the post of LDC/JSA: Should be a 12th pass or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university
2. For the post of PA/SA: Should be a 12th pass or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university
3. For the post of DEO: Should be a 12th pass or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university
4. For the post of DEO in Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C & AG): Should be a 12th pass in Science Stream with Mathematics as a subject equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.


Physical Efficiency Test:

Note- Physical Efficiency Test is only meant for GROUP ‘C’ Posts.

1. Candidates have to complete a One-Mile Run within the specified time
2. The Specified time is 10 minutes
3. The test is only Qualifying in Nature
