Description

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CHSL Exam Date 2023 on 27th April 2023 on the official website. The Commission will hold the SSC CHSL Exam 2023 for Tier I from 02 August 2023 to 22 August 2023.

Exam Pattern

The SSC CHSL Examination Tier I will be a computer-based test with multiple-choice questions of the objective type. There will be a total of 100 Questions and 200 Marks, with 2 Marks allotted to each question. The duration of the examination is 60 minutes in total, and 80 minutes for candidates using the scribe service. For each incorrect answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted.

Marking Scheme

  • Each question carries 2 marks

  • For each correct answer 2 marks will be given

  • There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer

  • No marks will be deducted for the Unattempted Questions

  • Based on the marks scored in Tier I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier II Examination


Normalisation Of Marks

The Staff Selection Commission has already decided to normalize the scores of candidates for the examinations, which are held in multi-shifts, to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different shifts.
