For the academic year 2023-24, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore has announced a new subject - BTech in Chemical Engineering. The programme aims to give students a complete view through a multidisciplinary and hands-on approach. The course is also given by 16 other IITs, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Kharagpur.
BTech In Chemical Engineering: Course Structure
The programme structure and curriculum were established by outstanding academic specialists from India and around the world, and they cover both classic and modern chemical engineering disciplines. It is available with a variety of specialisations such as petrochemical, biochemical, energy, pharmaceutical, and processing.
It is an eight-semester four-year full-time undergraduate degree curriculum. Candidates will be required to study 6 to 7 subjects per semester, in addition to electives.
BTech In Chemical Engineering: Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the programme will be dependent on the results of the JEE Advanced 2023. Candidates must also have passed the class 12 (or equivalent) examination from a recognised state or central board.
