The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will hold a selection test for lateral entry admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Class 11. The exam will be held in July, and NVS will issue a separate notification on JNV Class 11 admission 2023 on its official website.
According to the official notice, a decision has been reached to organise a selection test for Lateral Entry Admission in Class 11 versus unfilled seats in JNVs beginning in the 2023-24 session, comparable to the Lateral Entry Admission in Class 9. Aspiring applicants will be able to apply for the selection test online, which the authorities will give. The selection test is set for July 20, 2023. A detailed notification will be issued shortly.
Lateral Entry Selection Test
According to sources, the NVS presently administers a Lateral Entry Selection Test (LEST) to give admission to lateral entry seats in Class 9. Students who passed the Class 10 test from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), state board, or other recognised boards in the district where a JNV is located were eligible to apply for JNV Class 11 admissions. Prior eligibility criteria for JNV Class 11 admissions required students to be between the ages of 15 and 17 on July 1 of the year of admission.
