External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar virtually inaugurated the Buzi Bridge in Mozambique. It was constructed by India as part of the 132-kilometer Tica-Buzi-Nova-Sofala Road project. This newly built bridge is a tangible manifestation of India-Mozambique solidarity and friendship.

The Train Journey From Maputo To Machava
Dr Jaishankar traveled from Maputo to Machava in a Made in India train with Mr Magala, and CMD of Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) Rahul Mithal joined them on the journey. This journey emphasizes the significance of India's contribution to the development of Mozambique's rail infrastructure.
Meeting With Assembly President Esperança Bias
Dr Jaishankar met with Assembly President Esperança Bias. During their meeting, they discussed India's and Mozambique's historic cooperation. The Indian side reiterated its commitment to Mozambique's long-term development. The meeting's main topics were counter-terrorism and disaster preparedness.
The External Affairs Minister also discussed expanding train networks, electric mobility, and waterway connectivity with Mateus Magala, Mozambican Minister of Transport and Communication and Chairman of the Mozambican Port and Rail Authority. In this regard, he emphasized that India is a reliable partner.
