India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) and Bharti Airtel have partnered to offer banking services to their customers in India via WhatsApp. This joint statement was made public on March 31, 2023.

About IPPB

IPPB is a division of India Post that reports to the Department of Post, which reports to the Union Ministry of Communications. It debuted in 2018 and had over 6 crore customers as of January 2022.

IPPB Collaboration With Bharti Airtel

IPPB and Bharti Airtel's collaboration will allow IPPB customers to connect with the bank via WhatsApp and easily access a variety of banking services. The collaboration aims to promote digital and financial inclusion in India.

Services Offered By WhatsApp Banking

IPPB customers can now access banking services on their preferred messaging app via WhatsApp Banking. Through the WhatsApp channel, customers can easily make service requests, find the nearest Post Office, and perform a variety of other banking services. This includes checking the balance of an account, viewing mini statements, and transferring funds.

Support For Multiple Languages

Airtel-IPPB WhatsApp Banking is also working to expand its multilingual support. This will improve the customer experience, particularly in rural India. The goal of this multilingual support is to increase customer access to banking services regardless of language barriers.

Interactive Customer Support Agent

IPPB and Airtel IQ are collaborating to incorporate a live interactive customer support agent into WhatsApp. Customers will be able to get quick answers to their questions thanks to the support agent's availability around the clock. Customers who require assistance with their banking needs will benefit from this new level of convenience.
