The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for re-registration and admission to online, ODL, and merit-based programmes. Candidates can now register for the IGNOU January 2023 Session until March 31, 2023, with no late fees. The application deadline has been extended numerous times by the authorities.

The official statement reads, "Last date extension for fresh admission and re-registration for Jan 2023 cycle for all Programmes (except certificate & Semester based Programs) for both Online and ODL mode till 31 March, 23"

Documents Required Before Filling Admission, Re-Registration Application Form 2023

• A scanned photograph,

• Scanned signature,

• Class 10 Marksheet/ Birth Certificate,

• Educational qualification certificates,

• Experience certificate,

• Category certificate (if any),

• BPL certificate (if any).

Steps To Fill IGNOU January 2023 Session Application Form

• First visit the official website.

• Now on the homepage, click on Re-registration, admission link for Online ODL and merit-based programmes.

• Choose programme and complete the registration.

• Fill up the application form.

• Upload the necessary documents.

• Pay the required fee.

• Submit the form and take a printout for later reference.

Those who do not complete the IGNOU January 2023 Session application form by March 31, 2023, will be charged an additional Rupees 200 fee. However, re-registration will continue to be done with a Rupees 200 late fee as before.

Meanwhile, certificate and semester-based programmes have not been extended. The government has already announced that the window for these programmes has closed on March 14, 2023.
