The Delhi Education Minister, Atishi, introduced a 36-episode video series on the city's happiness curriculum on March 12, 2023. She asserted that doing this would enable teachers everywhere to teach students how to lead happy, full lives. The curriculum's primary objectives are the growth of self-awareness, expression, empathy, and relational cognition.

She further said, “The video series is available with subtitles which will help the Delhi government spread the philosophy of the Happiness Curriculum to a larger public. This is a very significant initiative through which we can bring positive changes in our lives.”

Objective Of Happiness Curriculum

She asserted that through this curriculum, people will acquire the talents required to effectively serve humanity. The Happiness Curriculum, taught daily for 35 minutes to children in kindergarten through class eight at 1,030 government schools in the nation's capital, was launched in 2018 with the aim of building students' foundations for happiness and wellbeing.

According to the Delhi government's education department, the series aims to raise awareness of the "meaning of life" and the role that education plays in achieving that goal.

According to the minister, the department will also present this video series to esteemed universities and research institutions around the world and take their recommendations into account.

Education Director Himanshu Gupta said, “The Happiness Curriculum has played a very important role in the character building and professional development of the Delhi government school teachers. Now is the time that we spread the knowledge that our teachers have received with the rest of the world."
