Description

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently declared a storytelling competition for all school students in Classes 3 to 12 for the academic year 2022-23. According to the most recent update, the registration deadline is February 12, 2023.

Students who are interested in participating in the competition should apply as soon as possible through the official website of CBSE. In terms of selection, schools will first shortlist one best entry from each category available, and then register the student with the selected best entry.

Furthermore, the CBSE Board's storytelling competition will be held at multiple levels, including the school, regional, and national levels. Students are given a wide range of creative topics, and participants will be able to select from the available topics listed by the Board itself for the upcoming storytelling competition.

Instructions To Upload Video For CBSE 2022-23 Storytelling Competition

Schools will upload all storytelling videos for the regional level, and the portal will be open till February 12, 2023. Only the CBSE Storytelling App on an Android phone can be used to upload videos of students.

Furthermore, before uploading storytelling videos, schools must obtain a consent letter from the parents or guardians of the students whose videos are being uploaded. According to CBSE, the video should not be larger than 2 MB in size. The assessment or evaluation will be based on students' abilities such as creativity, fluency, content delivery, coherence, and expression.

  • The video must be 2 minutes long for the primary category (Class 3 to Class 5).

  • The video must be 2-3 minutes long for the middle category (Class 6 to Class 8).

  • The video must be 3-4 minutes long for the secondary and senior secondary categories (Class 9 to Class 12).

CBSE 2022-23 Storytelling Competition Participation Levels

  • School Level - Schools will hold their own competition between January 17 and January 31 for all categories, selecting one best entry in each category to compete at the regional level.

  • Regional Level - From February 1 to February 12, the regional level competition will be held digitally via the CBSE Storytelling App. At the regional level, one of the best stories in each category from each CBSE region will be chosen. Each student who wins the competition will receive an online merit certificate.

  • National Level - A group of experts will evaluate the best entries selected at the regional level digitally at the national level. The competition winners will receive an online merit certificate.
