The Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Odisha (COU) intends to establish cultural institutes on the premises of the university. The COU is located in the Odisha state of Koraput. On January 19, 2023, the VC University met with Indian President Droupadi Murmu.

Following the meeting, VC is enthusiastic and eager about establishing a world-class tribal library, archaeological museum, and research institute on its premises. According to the most recent notification, Professor Chakradhar Tripathy, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Odisha, is pleased by the establishment of several cultural centres after meeting President Droupadi Murmu on January 19 at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Highlights Of The Meeting

In Koraput, the Central University of Odisha will soon open a world-class tribal library, an archaeological museum, and a research institute.

A constructive discussion was had with India's President regarding the planned and implementation of many cultural institutions. During the meeting, the president not only praised the Vice Chancellor's academic initiative, but also consented to the establishment of cultural tribal centres and research institutes, as mentioned in the official notice.

Objectives Of The University

Professor Chakradhar Tripathy is looking forward to the establishment because he is excited and certain that the new cultural institution will begin on the University's premises. Furthermore, the Centres will be established at this university as soon as possible.

According to sources, these cultural institutions will be advantageous since they will be useful and helpful in the fields of conservation and research on the language, culture, and knowledge of tribal people in the region as well as people around the country.

According to the official circular, the Central University of Odisha is also attempting to recruit numerous specialists or international researchers to organise and promote study on indigenous cow milk, which, as detailed in the Hindu Vedas, has the capacity to kill cancer cells. According to university sources, a permanent sports Professor will be appointed in an effort to develop sports culture in the university.
