An entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) was held at Jamia Millia Islamia with participation from the student body. The programme was held to celebrate Startup India Innovation Week. This program's goal is to support aspiring entrepreneurs by promoting an entrepreneurial, startup, and innovation culture on campus.

By including startup founders and aspiring entrepreneurs on the JMI campus, the entrepreneurship programme is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's objective to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation. The event was attended by MSME, DGM, Javed Ahmad Siddiqui, and Job Hai, growth head, Dhruv Yadav.

Dhruv Yadav initially began encouraging the students to work toward their objectives. They boosted their self-assurance and inspired them to take on the obstacles in their way. Siddiqui followed him, sharing some initiatives for entrepreneurs and MSMEs that are supported by SIDBI and Mudra. In addition, JMI hosted a meeting of startup founders.

The event was attended by participants from over 20 start-ups, with over 30 of them being entrepreneurs. Fuzail Ahmad, a strategy consultant at Deloitte, was the event's guest speaker. He talked about significant topics and offered his thoughts to the students.

He also vowed to stay in touch with the students to help them succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavours. According to a JMI press release, "The centre vows to keep conducting such events to promote and foster the startup and innovation culture in and around the university campus and to develop the Jamia community."
