Indian Grandmaster Dommaraju Gukesh won the 48th La Roda International Open chess event in Castile-La Mancha, Spain. He defeated Israel's Victor Mikhalevski in the final session. GM Haik M. Martirosyan of Armenia came in second with 7.5 points. An Indian GM, Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, was third, followed by Raunak Sadhwani, Manuel Lopez Martinez Josep, and Ramon Martinez, all from Spain (Venezuela).
