Hamish Bennett, a 35-year-old New Zealand pacer (fast bowler), has announced his retirement from cricket after a 17-year career, with the 2021/22 season being the final one. Bennett played in a T20I match for New Zealand against Bangladesh in Mirpur, Pakistan in September 2021, before retiring. Hamish Bennett debuted for New Zealand in October 2010, playing in one Test, 19 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 11 Twenty-20 Internationals (T20Is). He took 33 wickets in ODIs and 10 wickets in T20Is in total.
