Description

Highlights

The Indian Army honours Siachen Field every year on April 13th. The day is observed to celebrate the courage of the Indian Army during "Operation Meghdoot." Siachen Warriors who have successfully saved their country from the enemy are also honoured on this day.

On this day every year, heartfelt tributes are offered to the troops who gave their life 38 years ago to seize Siachen's icy heights. The day recognises the Indian Army's valour and determination in securing the world's highest and coldest battlefield.
