Dr. Manoj Soni, a member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has been appointed to the top government recruitment agency in the country. He has been a member of the Swaminarayan sect's Anoopam Mission in Mogri, Anand district, from boyhood. He received Diksha (initiation) as a Nishkarma Karmayogi on January 10, 2020.

The UPSC has nominated Dr. Soni to succeed Pradip Kumar Joshi, the outgoing chairman. Prior to this assignment, he served as vice-chancellor of two universities and garnered numerous national and international honours and recognitions.
