Description
Microbots and their Uses
Microbots are manufactured from poly (heptazine imide) carbon nitride, commonly known as PHI carbon nitride, a two-dimensional material. These microbots range in size from 1 to 10 micrometres and can self-propel after being electrified by illuminating light.
What is the Microbots' swimming technique?
The photocatalytic nature of the microbots is evident. The light received by the microdots is transformed into electrons, which trigger reactions in the surrounding liquid, similar to solar cells. The microbots swim as a result of this reaction, which is aided by the particle's electric field. As long as the microbots are exposed to light, electrons build an electric field and ions around them. These ions then circulate around the microdots, causing fluid to flow around them, causing the microdots to swim. Ions are constantly moving from the microdot's brilliant surface to the back end.
Concerning drug delivery
Doxo rubicin, a cancer-fighting medication, was discovered to be easily absorbed by the researchers working on this. The medicine can be released by changing the pH of the solution or by triggering it with light.
