On March 3, a filament eruption from the Sun, located near S22W30, triggered it. The geomagnetic storm has been classified as a G1 storm, which means it is a modest storm with a low risk of danger. The severity of geomagnetic storms is graded on a scale of G1 to G5, with G5 being the most dangerous.

Cause of Geomagnetic Storm 2022

Effects of Geomagnetic Storms on Earth
