Description
The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the schedule for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET UG 2022) on Wednesday.
This year, there are a few changes to the medical entrance exam: the age limit has been removed, the exam duration and application fees have been increased, and new exam centres have been added.
The NEET UG 2022 application process began on April 6, and candidates can apply online at neet.nta.nic.in till May 6.
English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu will be among the 13 languages used in the NEET.
Application Fee Increase
This year, the application fee for the NEET UG 2022 has been raised. The general category registration fee has been raised to Rs 1,600 from Rs 1,500 last year. Candidates from outside India must pay Rs 8,500, up from Rs 7,500 last year.
The application fees for reserved category candidates are as follows: EWS/OBC- Rs 1,500, SC/ST- Rs 800.
Exam time will be extended.
The NEET UG 2022 exam has been extended by the National Testing Agency. Students will now have an additional 20 minutes to complete the NEET paper, making it a total of 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes). The number of questions in the NEET exam will remain same at 180.
New exam cities added
For the NEET UG 2022, new exam cities have been included this year. NEET 2022 will be held in 543 cities across India, as well as 14 test centres outside the country. The NEET UG 2022 exam will be held in 12 countries around the world. United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Nepal, Malaysia, Kuwait, Nigeria, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore are the countries involved.
