Richard Howard, an American poet who won the Pulitzer Prize, died at the age of 92. Richard Joseph Howard was born on October 13, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio (US). He was an American poet, literary critic, writer, teacher, and translator. In 1970, "Untitled Subjects" won the Pulitzer Prize, and in 2008, "Without Saying" was a finalist for the National Book Award. For his translation of Charles Baudelaire's "Les Fleurs du Mal," he won the National Book Award (previously known as the American Book Award) in 1983.
