According to an official release, over 30,000 students have registered for a placement-cum-internship fair organised by Delhi University to provide them with suitable work prospects. The 'Job Mela,' according to Delhi University Registrar Vikas Gupta, is the first of its type in the university's history and will give a shared platform for undergraduate students from over 91 colleges to find internships and jobs.
From April 7 to April 9, the event will take place. He added that it will also provide suitable job chances to suitably talented postgraduate students from over 86 Delhi University departments. The central placement cell's three-day 'Job Mela' will begin on Thursday. Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh will be the one to open it.
Over 45 national and multi-national firms, start-ups, research organisations, and NGOs have expressed interest in participating in the student selection process, according to Gupta. The 'Job Mela' will be held in a blended format. The registrar stated, "Online and/or offline preparations for the firms would be provided as per their specified requirements." Over 30,000 pupils have signed up to take part in the event.
