On Monday, students at Delhi University staged a protest demanding that final-year exams be conducted online. The university had announced that exams for students in the sixth semester would be held in an offline mode. the university will begin holding physical exams for students in less than two years. The exams will most likely be held in May and June.
The students demanded that final year students' exams be conducted in an online open-book format. The protest, which took place outside the Arts Faculty on campus, drew around 1,000 demonstrators from various student groups. Police detained students for protesting on campus, according to students. If their demands are not satisfied, they have also threatened to go on hunger strike. The students, according to the police, were impeding traffic and causing inconvenience to commuters.
