J P Dalal, Haryana's Agriculture Minister, unveiled the Mukha Mantri Bagwani Bima Yojana website, which has ten-crore beginning money. Farmers will be compensated for crop damage caused by harsh weather or natural disasters under this programme.
According to the survey, the policy compensates farmers with a price of Rs 30,000 per acre for vegetables and spices and Rs 40,000 per acre for fruits, which would be given to them via four categories: 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Farmers will only contribute 5% of the insured value, or Rs 750 per acre for vegetables and spices and Rs 1000 for fruits. The programme covers 21 different crops, including 14 different vegetables, two different spices, and five different fruits. Farmers who sign up for the 'Meri Fasal Mera Byora' initiative will be able to choose whether or not to engage in the plan (a web portal through which the problems of the farmers of the state will be resolved).
