Australia achieved a new high of 356 points on the board. Nat Sciver responded by scoring 148 runs on his own, but it was not enough as England was bowled out for 285 runs in 43.4 overs. Alyssa Healy of Australia hit 170 runs in the match, the highest individual score by any male or female cricketer in the World Cup Final. She was the tournament's leading run scorer with 509 runs.
Player of the Tournament was Alyssa Healy. Sophie Ecclestone of England took the most wickets in the competition with 21. The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2022 was the tournament's 12th edition. The competition was held in New Zealand from March 4 to April 3, 2022.
