According to an official statement released on Monday, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has signed an MoU with the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) to promote Commerce Education among students in the Union Territory. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked for a five-year period at the outreach meeting with Kashmir valley authorities, according to the statement.
Officials said the Memorandum of Understanding was inked to promote commerce education among government and government-aided secondary and higher/senior secondary school pupils.
"The importance of commerce education in the inclusive growth of industry and the entire economy cannot be overstated. With such a large pool of potential in Kashmir, young students must be properly developed so that tomorrow's generation may contribute to the nation and society via their knowledge and abilities "It was stated.
For students from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and the North-Eastern States, the ICAI announced a 75% fee waiver for all levels of CA courses.
