The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced that it would hold an admission exam for students interested in the Post Basic Bachelor of Science Nursing Program. This exam will be valid starting in January 2022 for the batch. On Sunday, May 8, 2022, the two-hour-and-thirty-minute test will be held across the country.

The online application submission process began on March 23, 2022, and will remain till April 17, 2022.

Eligibility for the Post-Basic Bachelor of Science Nursing Program

Candidates interested in enrolling in the course should have completed 10+2 and have three years of experience as in-service nurses, such as Registered Nurses and Registered Midwifery (RNRM). A candidate for the Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) must have at least two years of experience in the profession after completing the RNRM. (In lieu of midwifery, male nurses who did not complete the GNM programme should hold a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration specified by the Indian Nursing Council.)

OR, In-service Nurses (RNRM) with a three-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and at least five years of experience in the profession following RNRM. (In lieu of midwifery, male nurses who have not completed the GNM programme should have a credential in any of the 6–9-month nursing courses prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council.)

Reservation Policy As Per Government Of India Regulations 

1. Age- There is no upper age limit for admission to the university's programme.

2. Registration- You can register for Post Basic BSc Nursing Programs at ignou.ac.in by filling out an online application form. Candidates can choose their exam city on a first-come, first-served basis through the online registration system.

3. Examination Fee: Rs 1,000 should be paid via a payment gateway, a credit card or a debit card authorised by an Indian bank, or online banking.

On the premises of the test centre, the use of mobile phones and electronic devices is strictly banned. Candidates will face penalties if they have or use cell phones or other technological equipment. Please take the time to read the entire information bulletin.
