Description
According to an official, an estimated 7.45 lakh students will sit for the West Bengal board's Class 12 examinations, which will commence on April 2. this coming Thursday Students will take the exams at their individual schools, rather than at other institutes connected with the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, as is customary (WBCHSE).
For students in Class 12, the WBCHSE conducts the 'Uchcha Madhyamik Pariksha,' also known as the higher secondary (HS) test.
"Examinees will write the exams at home centres (own schools) because particular covid norms must be observed in making seating arrangements for the candidates, which necessitates more school facilities than in previous years," WBCHSE President Chiranjib Bhattacharya said at a news conference.
Due to the raging second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, HS examinations were cancelled last year, and results were announced after the board devised an evaluation technique based on a student's past exam scores.
