Description
The Maharashtra education department issued a clarification on Tuesday about its recent circular requiring all schools to operate full days till April 30 to compensate for time lost due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
It stated that schools that have completed the year's syllabus are not required to remain open till April 30. Summer holidays have not been cancelled, according to a top official from the education department.
"Schools that have not completed their curriculum may operate for the entire day, including Sunday. Schools that have completed the curriculum are not required to operate till the end of April "Mr. Suraj Mandhare, commissioner of the Education Department, stated.
