Delhi Technological University (DTU) officials on Tuesday apprised Delhi Lieutenant Governor Mr Anil Baijal on the varsity's achievements during the last year, which included starting of centres for electric vehicles and happiness for students. Baijal was chairing the fourth meeting of the court of the university. "Chaired the 4th meeting of the Court of Delhi Technological University. The court considered and approved the audited annual statement of the accounts and the annual report of the university for the year 2020-2021," he said in a tweet.

Mr Baijal, the Lieutenant Governor, also advised officials to address and resolve the "outstanding audit paras as soon as possible." "The emphasis was on supporting and directing the university's'start ups' through its innovation and incubation foundation. I congratulate the management, faculty, and students on their accomplishments and wish them well in their future endeavours "In a series of tweets, he stated. According to a university spokesman, the university launched two new master's programmes in the past year, including one on artificial intelligence, as well as two new centres for students, the Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicles and Related Technology and the Centre of Science of Happiness.

He also informed the Lt Governor that the university now has 14,079 students, including 671 overseas students. "We informed him that we have a fantastic campus placement opportunity. Over 300 organisations visited the campus, with 1,719 employment openings. Amazon offered the biggest package of Rs 1.2 crore per year, while the average package was Rs 11 lakh per year "According to the official, Last year, the university spent Rs 228 crore on infrastructure improvements.
