G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Culture, Tourism, and DONER, has launched the three-day 'Ishan Manthan' North-East festival at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts in New Delhi. From March 25 to 27, 2022, the three-day Ishan Manthan event will promote the rich ethnicity and hues of North East India.

The event will provide an opportunity to learn about Northeast India's culture, art, music, folk dances, handicrafts, and traditional cuisines. Ishan Manthan is an effort to showcase the diversity of northeast India's expressions. As a result, it can be translated as "North East Brainstorming." The inaugural session also saw the publication of two books: 'Lok Beyond Folk,' an edited book on Lok culture edited by Shri J Nandalumar, and 'Jewels of North East India.'
