Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced on Saturday that Delhi will soon have its first government-run veterinary college for the treatment of all types of animals. During his budget speech to the Assembly, he made the announcement.
"Veterinary science is in high demand in this day and age because it not only protects the health of cattle and domestic animals, but it also protects human health by screening for and controlling zoonotic diseases. Delhi has a large number of pets that require medical attention. To meet this need, I propose a new budget item for the establishment of the city's first government veterinary college for better animal care "He stated.
Sisodia presented the "Rozgar Budget" in the Assembly on Saturday, with an outlay of Rs 75,800 crore for the fiscal year 2022-23, with the goal of creating 20 lakh jobs in five years by establishing an electronic city and promoting the national capital's night economy, retail, and wholesale markets.
The next fiscal year's budget is 9.86% larger than the previous year's – Rs 69,000 crore – the deputy chief minister said, adding that Delhi's economy is gradually recovering from the impact of COVID-19.
