Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, said on Thursday that the holistic nature of knowledge is very important, and that it is the Indian style of getting knowledge. "We have come from a unique civilisation where our narrative, unlike Abrahamic civilisation, is feminist," she said at an event here. She was addressing at the end of a two-day seminar called Vishwa Guru Bharat: Exploring the Glorious Past, Promoting the Present, and the Roadmap for the Future.

The Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, in collaboration with SVU and Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswavidyalayam, hosted the event. Abhishek Tondon, ICSSR's deputy director, and Alok Pandey, SHoDH's national in-charge, were also present at the meeting. "The holistic nature of information is critical. There would be a requirement for a science and technology philosophy of knowing as well as a social construct.

 Always consider knowledge as a whole. This is how it has been viewed in Indian tradition. I'd like for all of you to be able to relate to that "Pandit said. "We come from a unique civilisation in which, unlike Abrahamic civilisations, our narrative is feminist. We have a notion called ardhnarishwar, in which men and women are treated equally. "We are in the midst of a continuous civilisation. Ours was a scientific tradition. We do not oppose science. We do not oppose science. Science, technology, and a scientific mindset are all part of our heritage "she continued.
