The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad's Department of Entrepreneurship and Management (EM) is preparing to offer a new master of technology (MTech) degree in techno-entrepreneurship. The programme intends to cultivate an entrepreneurial attitude among scientific, engineering, and technology graduates, as well as provide them with the essential skills and information to pursue entrepreneurship, according to a statement from IIT Hyderabad.
According to the institute, the MTech programme in techno-entrepreneurship is suitable for fresh graduates interested in learning and polishing the necessary skills to turn an entrepreneurial idea into a minimum viable product and eventually scale it up into a firm.
The program's goal is to create an environment in which students can turn their entrepreneurial ideas into profitable businesses. The students will benefit from speeches by founders, co-founders, and senior management of startups and established companies invited as speakers in various events and workshops held by the department over the course time, according to the department.
The MTech techno-entrepreneurship programme at IIT Hyderabad will two years and is divided into four semesters. Students must complete each semester, which has a credit weightage of 12 credits, for a total programme weightage of 48 credits. In addition, students must complete necessary courses like as communication skills and industry lectures throughout the first two semesters.
