The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has collaborated with Tata Consultancy Services to establish a web-enabled, user-oriented Industrial Artificial Intelligence (AI) curriculum for working professionals. According to a TCS report, the 18-month course is intended at upskilling business staff in artificial intelligence applications to assist them tackle industrial problems.
Each course in the curriculum will have a mid-term and a final examination given online. There would also be several projects. There will be 28-30 hours of online classes every week, as well as post-classroom activities.
"This curriculum, developed in collaboration with TCS, will include strong theoretical lectures and laboratories addressing critical issues in data science and AI." "Theoretical courses will address topics in core mathematical approaches essential for comprehending data science algorithms, time series analysis, multivariate data analysis, machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning," IIT Madras Director Professor V Kamakoti stated.
"Applied courses will cover implementations of AI solutions for industry problems in a case study manner," he added. Together, these courses are meant to offer participants with a solid theoretical basis as well as a considerable application viewpoint."
