Pushkar Dhami will take the CM oath for the second time
Dhami will take the oath of office for the second time. On July 4, 2021, he was elected as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, succeeding Trivendra Singh Rawat, and served for less than a year until assembly elections. During the Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022, he led the party's poll campaign in the state as Chief Minister, but he lost his own seat from Khatima constituency to Congress candidate Bhuwan Chandra Kapri by a margin of 6,579 votes, raising questions about whether he will be given the top job again. Dhami has previously won the seat twice. Former Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, MLA Dhan Singh Rawat, Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt, Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, and Rajya Sabha member Anil Baluni have all been mentioned as possible candidates for the position of Uttarakhand Chief Minister. The freshly elected BJP MLAs, on the other hand, chose Pushkar Dhami as their party's head.
