Description
This tournament will be attended by 450 athletes from 43 different nations. This event will take place over the course of four days. Athletes competing in this tournament will aim to qualify for both the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in 2022 and the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022. bThis event will also provide over 100 para-athletes, including Indian athletes, with the opportunity to be categorised.
Contingent Indian
The Indian team for this event includes of 29 athletes, captained by Paralympian Dharambir. Dharambir will compete in the men's club throw and discus throw F51 categories, hoping to meet the minimum qualification requirements necessary to compete in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in July and the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in October. Dharambir, who won a silver medal at the Asian Para Games in 2018, will be joined by Mohammed Yasser, who is an APG bronze medallist in men's shot put F46, Nimisha Suresh Chakkungalparambil, who will compete in the women's long jump F46, Devender Kumar, who will compete in the men's discus throw F44, and Pranav Prasad, who will be participating in the men’s 100m, 200m T64.
