The Delhi government has created the 'My EV' (My Electric Vehicle) webpage to let residents buy and register electric vehicles.
Highlights
The Delhi government has created the 'My EV' (My Electric Vehicle) webpage to facilitate the purchase and registration of electric vehicles in the city. It is available to all users on the Delhi Transport Department's website. The Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy provides a 5% rate subsidy on the purchase of e-autos on loans, making the city the first in the country to do so. The Delhi government and Convergence Energy Services Limited(CESL) collaborated to create the web platform. CESL has appointed six Financial Institutions (FIs) - Mahindra Finance, Akasa Finance, Mannapuram Finance, RevFin, and Prest Loans – to give loans to electric vehicles on favourable conditions. The interest subsidy on EV purchases is in addition to the relevant purchase incentive of INR 30,000 and scrapping incentives of up to INR 7,500 under the Delhi EV Policy. The user might receive up to INR 25,000 in additional perks.
