Description
On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will use video conferencing to address the valedictory function of the 96th common foundation course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy Of Administration (LBSNAA), as well as inaugurate a new sports complex and dedicate the revamped "Happy Valley Complex" to the nation.
According to the PMO, the 96th foundation course is the first of its kind at the academy, built on "Mission Karmayogi" concepts and including unique pedagogy and course design. There are 488 officer trainees from 16 services and three Royal Bhutan Services in this batch (Administrative, Police and Forest).
It was noted that a new pedagogy guided by the principles of Mission Karmayogi was designed to harness the adventurous and innovative spirit of the younger batch, with an emphasis on transforming the officer trainee from a student and citizen into a public servant through initiatives such as interaction with Padma awardees in the spirit of "Sabka Prayas" and a village visit for an immersive experience of rural India.
Officer trainees also visited villages in remote and border locations to learn more about the issues that locals confront. According to the PMO, the modular method for curriculum was chosen in accordance with the principles of continual graded learning and self-guided learning.
It added that in addition to health examinations, fitness tests were conducted to help the transition from a "exam-stressed student" to a "healthy youthful civil servant," and that all 488 officer trainees received first-level Krav Maga and other sports training.
