According to an official, the University of Jammu inked a memorandum of understanding with Sedulity Solutions and Technologies, a Delhi-based corporation, on Wednesday to establish a centre of excellence lab for cybersecurity and cyber forensics solutions.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked with Sedulity Solutions and Technologies, New Delhi, for the establishment of the Lab at the PG Department of Computer Science and IT, according to a varsity spokeswoman. The MoU was signed by Arvind Jasrotia, the university's registrar, and Anup Girdhar, the company's CEO, he noted. Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu, was also present.
Dhar praised the dean and staff of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology for carrying the initiative of industry-academic collaboration to new heights. He emphasised the importance of providing students and faculty with the most up-to-date and developing technologies, such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, since these will be required in the coming age.
The MoU, according to Girdhar, would enable effective use of Sedulity Solutions and Technologies' intellectual skills in the realm of cybersecurity and cyber forensic operations, bridging the gap between industry and academia.
