Description

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in New Delhi has launched two new programmes for the academic year 2022-23. The Ayurveda Dietician Course and the Ayurveda Ahara and Poshana Sahayak Course are two new courses added by the AIIA, an autonomous agency within the Ministry of AYUSH.

According to a statement released by the institute, the courses were developed to encourage interdisciplinary Ayurveda studies and are associated with the Health Sector Skill Council (HSSC) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

The Ayurveda Dietician Course is a specialty programme for professionals with a BAMS degree that aims to fulfil the growing demand for specialised practitioners in Ayurvedic hospitals and medical centres.

High school graduates interested in working as Ayurvedic diet assistants can enrol in the Ayurveda Ahara and Poshana Sahayak Course. According to the statement, such personnel are in high demand in health resorts, wellness centres, and hospitals.

"In Ayurveda, diet is extremely essential. It aids the body's healing process by speeding up the production and regeneration of critical cells. Several common disorders, such as gastrointestinal problems, are influenced directly by the food we eat. As a result, Ayurveda places a high value on identifying the proper foods for the body. "Demand for diet assistants and experts in the field of Ayurveda has been increasing in recent years, and the new courses will assist Ayurveda professionals in obtaining work in hospitals, health resorts, and wellness centres in India and abroad," said Professor Tanuja Manoj Nesari, Director, AIIA.

Both courses are six months long, and candidates will be chosen based on their performance in an entrance exam. The institute has issued a call for applications from qualified people. The deadline to submit an application is March 31.
