Description

A consumer electronics and robotics startup based in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, with a research centre at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar Research Park, has been chosen for the Stanford Seed programme for the current year. Havi is the name of the consumer electronics and robotics firm. "Only about 90 start-ups from around the world get an opportunity to be part of this programme by Stanford Graduate School of Business (Stanford GSB) every year, and Havi is one of the few companies selected from India and the only company shortlisted from Gujarat," according to a statement issued in this regard. According to the statement, Havi is involved in the creation of robotic toys and thrives on the goal of motivating people of all ages to learn, create, and perform. "It creates useful, sustainable, and enjoyable technological goods for the general public that aid in the learning and creation of robots, IoT, electronics, and other STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) projects," according to the statement. It has also created a free code-learning platform, Havi code, to help people learn coding and other skills. As part of the Stanford Seed programme, which is managed by the world-renowned faculty of Stanford GSB, the Havi founders and management team will get one-on-one mentorship, enhance strategic skills, create collaborations, and obtain significant local and worldwide contacts. This will be a five-month programme aimed at assisting chosen start-ups in becoming potentially scalable enterprises and positively impacting their communities.

Mr Prashant Mamtora, Founder and CEO of Havi, expressed his satisfaction at being selected for the renowned programmes, saying, "Our entire team and I are tremendously thrilled with this success." It is a variant of our aim - "Inspire everyone, of all ages, to study, create, and perform." The programme will assist us in engaging with and learning from one of the world's most mature start-up ecosystems."
