Description

The exam date for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022 has been changed by the Consortium of National Law Universities. The law entrance examination, which was previously set for May 8, will now take place on June 19, 2022. The amended CLAT schedule is available on the official websiteconsortiumofnlus.ac.in.

In addition to the exam being postponed, the CLAT 2022 registration period has been extended. The application deadline for the legal entrance exam is May 9, 2022.

Exam date

CLAT 2022 will be held on June 19, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. for both undergraduate and graduate programmes.

Eligibility for CLAT 2022

Applicants with a 45 percent (40 percent in the case of SC, ST candidates) or comparable grade in the Class 12 exam are eligible to apply for the UG CLAT. Candidates who take the qualifying test in March or April 2022 will also be eligible to take CLAT 2022. They will, however, be required to show proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, or their right to be considered for admission would be forfeited.

Candidates for CLAT PG must have completed an LLB or similar degree with a minimum of 50% or equivalent grade.

Syllabus for CLAT UG 2022

The CLAT UG paper 2022 will include 150 questions. There will be 100 one-mark questions and two essay-style questions at 25 points each. Constitutional Law, as well as other fields of law such as Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Contract Law, Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, and Labour and Industrial Law, are all covered in the CLAT UG course.

Paper Pattern (CLAT UG 2022)

The CLAT UG law paper is divided into five sections: Verbal Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude, all of which contain comprehension problems. Four to five comprehension texts may be included in each segment, followed by a set of multiple choice questions. The exam will take two hours to complete.

How to Apply for CLAT 2022

1. Visit CLAT's official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

2. Click the register link on the homepage and input your cellphone number and password.

3. Now, use your credentials to log in.

4.Fill out the application form with all of the required information.

5. Upload your documents and pay your application fees online with a credit card, debit card, or net banking account.

6. When you're complete, click the submit button.

7. Take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.

CLAT is a nationwide entrance exam for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes at India's 22 National Law Universities.
