Description

The cut-off marks for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test have been decreased by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) (NEET). In all categories, the NEET PG cut-off marks have been decreased by 15%. The decision was taken to eliminate "seat wastage." The NEET PG 2021 ranking, on the other hand, has remained unchanged.

"The move is intended to reduce seat waste. Approximately 25,000 new candidates will be able to engage in the upcoming round of ongoing counselling as a result of the percentage drop "a source confirmed.

The decision was made in collaboration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) since roughly 8,000 seats remained unfilled after two rounds of all-India and two rounds of state quota counselling, according to Health Ministry officials.
