According to Australia Cricket, Rod Marsh, a former Australian wicketkeeper-batter, died at the age of 74. Rod Marsh was in an induced coma and struggling for his life after suffering a massive heart attack the previous week. Rod Marsh will be remembered for the manner he played the game and the joy he offered to audiences as a part of some great Australian teams, according to Cricket Australia Chairman Dr Lachlan Henderson in an official statement. Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson conveyed his condolences on Rod Marsh's death. "Rod Marsh is no longer on this earth, I am totally broken," he tweeted. I wouldn't be the person I am now if it weren't for Rod and his incredible ability to bring out the best in every young player. He simply cared!! My heartfelt condolences and prayers are with Ros and the boys.
Honors and Awards
Rod Marsh was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1981 for his contributions to sport. He was also a member of the Australia Cricket Hall of Fame, the International Cricket Council (ICC) Hall of Fame, and the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.

Rod Marsh's relationship with Australian teammate and fellow West Australian Dennis Lillee is a Cricket Legend, with the dismissal 'caught Marsh, bowled Lillee' appearing on scoreboards throughout the world 95 times in Test Matches.
Rod Marsh's Personal History
Dan Marsh, Rod Marsh's son, was a former captain of the Tasmanian Cricket Team. Rod Marsh was in serious condition on February 24, 2022, after suffering a heart attack in Bundaberg, Queensland. He died on March 4, 2022, at the age of 74, in Adelaide, South Australia. Rod Marsh is survived by his wife Ros, as well as his three children, Paul, Jamie, and Dan.
