Registration for admission to the Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) will be closed on March 6 by the Delhi government's Directorate of Education (DoE). Students interested in applying to the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE)-affiliated SoSEs can do so via edudel.nic.in/sose. Over 55,000 pupils have applied, according to an official statement.
Students in Classes 9 to 12 who have a special aptitude or interest in specific disciplines of study such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Humanities, Performing and Visual Arts, and High-end 21st Century Skills will be catered to by the DBSE linked SoSE.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Performing and Visual Arts, Humanities, High-end 21st Century Skills, and Armed Forces Preparatory Schools are the five domains of specialty in Delhi SoSEs.

Last year, a total of 26,687 students applied to SoSEs, with 2,794 students accepted from STEM, Humanities, and High-End 21st Century Skills schools.
The remaining students were from recognised private institutions, with over two-thirds coming from government and government-aided schools.
Students are required to audition for admission to Performing and Visual Arts institutions.
