Description
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the eligibility criteria for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to sources, this year's admission exam would be held twice instead of four times. The registration procedure will start shortly.
The information bulletin for JEE Main 2022 is yet to be released by the NTA.
There is no upper age limit for candidates in the JEE Main 2022 eligibility criteria. "Candidates who passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or are appearing in 2022, regardless of age, can appear in JEE (Main) 2022," the NTA stated.
"However, the candidates may be required to meet the age requirements of the Institute(s) in which they wish to enrol," it continued.
A list of qualifying examinations for the undergraduate engineering entrance examination has also been provided by the NTA. "Candidates who passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2019 or earlier, or who will appear in such examination in 2023 or after, are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2022," according to the agency.
JEE Main 2022 dates are expected to be released next week, according to a PTI report.
National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other government and private engineering institutes use JEE Main as a national admission examination.
