The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has begun a phased return of students to campus. Between February 19 and March 10, PhD, BTech, and BDes final-year students, as well as dual-degree students, can return to the institute in the first phase.
"Only students who are eligible to register for the current semester are allowed to return.
"Students should enter in their arrival details in the return portal and organise their journey to arrive on campus in accordance with the aforesaid schedule," the institute stated.
"It is suggested that returning students be completely vaccinated and should provide their immunisation certificates upon arrival," the institute said of COVID-19 preventive measures. If a student develops any symptoms during his or her stay, he or she should notify the medical section, be checked, and be isolated according to policy."
The academic affairs branch of IIT Guwahati has decided to resume offline classes, and a separate announcement would be issued in this regard. "The students are excited to return to campus and begin in-person learning," it continued.
