Description
The updated Kishore Vigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) aptitude exam schedule for 2021 has been released by the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore. KVPY 2021 has been rescheduled on May 22, 2022. The aptitude test was originally planned on January.
The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, developed and funds the KVPY programme, which is a national-level fellowship programme. Candidates must take and pass the aptitude exam in order to be considered for the fellowship and contingency funding.
The test is open to students in grades 11 through the first year of basic science courses such as BSc, BS, BStat, BMath, Integrated MSc, and Integrated MS. The test is taken into account by top institutes in the country, such as the IISc and the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), for admission to BS and BS-MS dual degree programmes, respectively.
Shortlisted candidates are chosen based on their performance in an aptitude test and an interview. The aptitude test results are used to create the initial merit list, and these students are then invited for an interview. The final merit is based on the results of both the aptitude test and the interview.
The selection procedure is screened by IISc-created groups or committees. Those chosen for the KVPY fellowship get scholarships up to the pre-doctoral level.
