KPAC Lalitha was born in Kayamkulam, Alappuzha, as Maheswari Amma. The legendary actor had appeared in over 550 Malayalam and Tamil films. KPAC Lalitha died on February 22, 2022 in Kochi after a protracted battle with a liver disease. The renowned actress died just three days before her 74th birthday. In a five-decade career, the experienced actor appeared in over 500 films. She played a range of roles, including the female lead, comedic parts, and supporting characters. She also worked as a character artist in a number of Tamil films.
Many celebrities, including Mammootty, Revathy, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, offered heartfelt condolences to the late actor. Mammootty resorted to Twitter to share a photo of the late actor and a letter in Malayalam that read. ''I just lost someone close to me, I mourn her loss with many enduring memories."
