Description
The candidates have received notice from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) allowing them to change to NRI status. Candidates who claim to be NRIs under the Supreme Court of India's directions/orders in the case (W.P. No 689/ 2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) and Anr. Vs. Union of India and Ors) and want their nationality converted from Indian to NRI can send their application to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com with supporting documents between February 11 (10 am) and February 13 (10 am) (6 pm).
"Emails received before or after the deadline will be ignored." "Candidates are recommended to transmit all documents enclosed in a single mail only, within the time frame specified," according to an MCC statement.
Once the applicant's category is changed from Indian to NRI, they will be classified as NRIs in all subsequent rounds of NEET counselling and will not be eligible for the Muslim Minority Quota, Jain Minority Quota, or any other quota.
Required documents
1. Documents claiming the sponsorer is a non-resident alien (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer).
2. Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the complete course fee of the candidate, suitably notarized.
3. Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer Relationship of NRI with the candidate as per the court orders (Certificate from the Consulate).
4. The candidate's NEET score card.
Applicants must also send an undertaking stating that they are applying for conversion of category from Indian to NRI for the NEET UG Counselling 2021 and that they have passed the NEET-UG Examination, 2021 and are eligible for the MCC NEET Counselling.
