Description
The Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University, or IIT-BHU, has signed an agreement with Niigata University in Japan to promote educational and research exchange and cooperation.
"This academic and research collaboration will most likely bring two friendly nations closer together and encourage students to be chosen and nominated by their home university/institution." Furthermore, both parties will make every effort to ensure that an equal number of students are exchanged and participate," IIT-BHU stated.
Both institutes will establish procedures for the student exchange programme, and selection will be based on academic achievements.
For exchange students, the host university/institution will waive examination fees, entrance fees, and tuition fees.
During the online signing event, IIT-BHU director Prof Pramod Kumar Jain and Niigata University President Prof Tatsuo Ushiki stated that this initiative will help establish strong collaboration between the two institutes.
